Beyond Conveyors: How Our Project Management Team Delivers Results

The rapid growth of the food and beverage manufacturing industry demands innovation and solutions built to maximize warehouse production and efficiency. At Descon, we are focused on innovation and delivering for customers, so it’s important to have a team that can keep everyone on task, on time, and on budget. Our project management team takes on this important role in delivering advanced turnkey food and beverage conveyors and systems to our customers.

Descon’s Project Management Team

Our team is different from your typical project management team. We like to think of ourselves as the representatives of our customers in our own house, always keeping them satisfied and up to date on the progress of their project. We facilitate communication between the customer, our internal team, and any other stakeholders involved in the project. From the onset we are engaged, acting as the customer’s advocate within the company.

Our project management process is designed to ensure projects are completed to customer satisfaction. As the project manager, we facilitate customer approvals, and internal timelines, and ensure installation is completed following the schedule, ensuring a successful, on-time startup.

We ensure that all teams follow the plan to meet the customer’s scope and requirements. Given the technical nature of our products, we know it’s important to address any challenges quickly and appropriately to prevent delays. We also follow up with different departments to ensure that they don’t have any roadblocks.

Planning for future success

Our advice to customers when they begin any project with us is “Think of the future.” What are your long-term objectives? What will your manufacturing needs be in 10 years?

Our team is guided by the principles LEARN. INNOVATE. DELIVER! and we are constantly looking for ways to provide our customers with the best solutions. This means delivering the best solution for you now and in the future.

Whether we are engineering a conveyor system or a custom solution for your warehouse, we want to understand how your company will grow. This helps us plan for future scalability and growth within your organization. By taking these opportunities for growth into consideration from the project kick-off, we may be able to make engineering decisions that may prevent a complete line overhaul as your production grows.

Embracing challenges as opportunities

Descon’s project managers are skilled at tackling challenges, from facilitating necessary design adjustments to ensuring smooth communication between various stakeholders. A significant part of our job is coordinating with different departments and external vendors to ensure that all project components align with the overarching project goal for our customers. When it comes to procurement and communication, we are always acting as your advocate. This coordination is crucial, especially if we are integrating equipment with another conveyor or third-party components. Our team provides comprehensive solutions, regardless of project complexity.

Building relationships that last

Part of our team’s philosophy is to build relationships that last. While our project might span for a few months or even a year, the opportunities for collaboration continue to grow with your organization. Whether you are looking for a conveyor audit, to order parts, or to expand your system, our team is here to help you find the best solution. Wherever possible, to maintain consistency, we aim to have customers work with the same project manager across projects. However, all of our project managers are here to help you achieve the best solution possible.

At Descon, our project managers take immense pride in our work, driven by our relentless pursuit of excellence for our clients. Serving as dedicated client advocates within our organization, we continuously strive to deliver optimal solutions promptly and within budgetary constraints. Our success hinges on the remarkable teamwork displayed across all departments at Descon, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration to achieve our common goals.
